To improve understanding of biological, clinical, and socio-behavioral aspects of aging through the lens of HIV infection and its treatment.
To enhance approaches for testing, preventing, and treating HIV infection and managing HIV-related comorbidities.
Researchers in the fields of HIV and aging.
Older adults living with HIV.
Eligible organization types include higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, local, state, and federal governments, and tribal governments.
Nonprofits can be either with or without 501(c)(3) IRS status.
Foreign organizations are also eligible to apply.
Open to U.S. and non-U.S. entities.
Foreign components of U.S. organizations are allowed.
Research must align with HIV/AIDS Research Priorities outlined by NIH’s Office of AIDS Research.
Encourages multidisciplinary studies focusing on aging and HIV.
Application budgets are not limited but must reflect actual project needs.
Application due date is January 7, 2027.
Open date for applications is April 7, 2025.
Applicants may submit more than one application as long as each is scientifically distinct.

Applications will be evaluated based on scientific and technical merit.
Applications will undergo peer review and will be evaluated for completeness and compliance.
