The evaluation uses a scoring system from 0 (Failure) to 5 (Excellent) for each criterion. To be eligible for funding, each individual main evaluation criterion must score at least 3, and the total score for all main criteria combined must be at least 10.
Excellence (Weighted equally)
- Clarity and relevance of the networking event's objectives in relation to the call's aims.
- Clear definition of the event's aims and its expected outcomes.
- Feasibility of the networking event, including the adequacy of the time schedule, planning, location, and requested resources.
Impact (Weighted equally)
- Potential of the expected outcome to improve the translation of Personalised Medicine (PM) research into healthcare, clinical applications, and prevention.
- Added value derived from the multidisciplinary and transnational aspects of the collaboration.
- Appropriate consideration of inclusivity and equity, such as gender balance, involvement of early career researchers, and patient advocacy organizations.
- Meaningful participation and engagement of stakeholders and end-users, as demonstrated through a comprehensive stakeholder analysis.
Quality and Efficiency of Implementation (Weighted equally)
- Appropriateness of the proposed network meeting's draft agenda, procedures, and management plan relative to the planned objectives and identified risks.
- Justification and adequacy of the requested budget.
- Appropriate plans for disseminating the outcome and results of the networking event.
Ethical Assessment
- Mandatory completion of an 'Ethical self-assessment' within the application form.
- Adherence to Horizon Europe rules and general ethical norms, particularly concerning the processing of personal data (e.g., contact details of event participants).
- Consideration of whether patients are invited to join the network meeting and if the meeting is held partially online.
- Final funding is contingent upon approval from both the scientific evaluation and the ethical assessment, as well as compliance with central Horizon Europe and regional/national ethical requirements.
