Scholars should be prepared to apply for independent research funding by the completion of the program
Scholars must commit a minimum of 9 person-months (75% of full-time effort) to research activities
Direct costs limited to $750,000 per year
Scholar salaries can be requested up to $100,000, plus $50,000 annually for research-related costs
