Eligibility Requirements

Applicant Type
  • Must be an individual (student), not an organization.
Program Enrollment Requirements
  • Must have been officially accepted into the Executive Master in Digital Twins for Infrastructures and Cities program.
  • Must have paid the non-reimbursable reservation fee for the program.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student in the master’s program for the 2025–2026 academic year.
  • Must commit to completing the Master's program in the first academic year of the student's enrolment.
Geographic Eligibility
  • Must be a national of an eligible country, specifically including:
    • EEA countries.
    • Countries associated with the Digital Europe Programme (or those engaged in ongoing association negotiations) at the time of the call (2021).
Exclusion Criteria
  • Scholarship will be automatically revoked (mandatory termination) if the student:
    • Discontinues studies.
    • Takes academic leave.
    • Fails at least one course during the academic year.
    • Violates the rules of ethics and academic honesty.
  • The reservation fee will not be reimbursed in any case, including termination or voluntary withdrawal from the scholarship.

Pre-Application Requirements

  • Students may voluntarily withdraw from the scholarship by submitting a written request to the study program committee.
  • In both mandatory and voluntary termination cases, the reservation fee will not be reimbursed.
  • Scholarship funds must only be used for their originally intended purpose (tuition fees for the Master's program).

Evaluation Criteria

Scholarships will be awarded based on a merit score (ranging from 1 to 5) and specific priority criteria. The scholarship amount will vary between €1,500 and €3,000, depending on the score achieved. Merit Score Factors
  • Previous academic and professional experience.
  • Quality and relevance of the Curriculum Vitae.
  • Content of the Letter of Motivation, including a clear justification for financial support.
Priority Criteria (to enhance diversity and inclusion)
  • Gender Balance: Female applicants from any EU or EU-associated country.
  • Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) Countries: Applicants from RIS countries, which are part of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme. This supports students from countries with moderate or modest innovation scores and lower GDP.
  • Affiliation with Organizing Higher Education Institutions (HEIs): Students affiliated with the organizing HEIs, such as alumni, professors, employees, and PhD researchers from:
    • Universidad Politécnica de Madrid
    • ENPC
    • ITU
    • BME
    • Other partner institutions
  • Socio-economic Background: Students who are self-financed AND do not have an employer or are working in an SME (defined as up to 50 salaries).
